The Hub is a drop in centre with information and support under one roof. We understand the issues affecting a victims family of homicide. The HUB is a one stop shop of information like no other across the country, located right here in Liverpool, Merseyside. Volunteers at The HUB are here to offer various methods of support such as advice and guidance, referral to a Network of Providers, counselling services, support through the Judicial Process, liaison with other partners and peer support. We understand that individuals suffering from the loss of a loved one can potentially follow a dark path to misuse of alcohol and/or drugs, as well as a loss of confidence and motivation. Therefore we work alongside professional and qualified organisations that The HUB can refer families to after having spoken with them and have understood their needs. Our volunteers at The HUB then make it their duty to keep in close contact with those agencies to keep check of how the families are progressing. We work closely with the National Probation Service, VLOs, Merseyside Police Homicide Section and FLOs.

Our childrens group O.L.L.Y- Our Lost Love Years also offers wonderful support to children that have lost loved ones or come from areas of high deprivation. We value offering support to children by taking them out every week on day trips and providing a safe space for them to express their feelings. Losing a loved one is extremely harrowing for a child, and so our qualified and dedicated session workers make it their aim to show them love and encouragement.

We aim overall to offer a feeling of hope to the victims families of homicide and to have them feel secure in knowing there is a place for them to be heard and advised. We also invite our members to attend Coffee Mornings through The HUB every week, where members can meet one another and openly discuss the issues they are facing with people who are in similar situations and understand what they are going through. There is never any need to make an appointment to see us at The HUB, simply come along and ring the bell and we will be here to listen. The HUB is open Monday-Friday from 9:30am to 5pm and you can call us on 0151 709 2994. Our office is located at 6 Anson Street, Liverpool, L3 5NY. Easter Party

Our volunteers and children at OLLY are all so grateful to Variety, the Childrens Charity and our wonderful friend Lyn Staunton, as their generosity means we have our Easter Party to look forward to on 9th April at Broadway Function Rooms. The party will start at 12 noon and continue till 6pm. The children will be enjoying party food, entertainment, disco and fun party games which will keep them amused throughout the whole party. One hundred and fifty of our OLLY children will be receiving an Easter egg from the Easter Bunny who will be accompanied by Olly and Molly in costume and their new friend Puff the Magic Dragon.

For further information on the valuable work the group provides for children spread across Merseyside please visit our website at www.ourlostloveyears.co.uk If you are reading this and would like for your child to benefit from the OLLY activities and support network please call us on 0151 709 2994 between 9:30am and 5pm or call 07740149899 during out of office hours.
