At Families Fighting for Justice, our path is forged from pain, but driven by purpose. We are here because lives were lost. Because families felt unheard. Because change was long overdue.
In 2008, our founder Jean Taylor — having lost a sister, a son and a daughter to homicide — held banners and photographs in the streets of London, because every victim’s family deserved to be seen, heard, and supported.
About us >
Our Mission
Since then, our mission has never changed:
- To ensure victims’ families have a voice.
- To make sure their needs are met.
- To advocate for a justice system that treats human life with respect.
Our Location
Located at 6 Anson Street, Liverpool — our drop-in HUB, a place of support and rebuilding, where families grieving homicide or culpable road death can come together.
What We Do
We combine lived experience with meaningful action. We listen. We support.
We work for change — through peer-support sessions, educational programmes, advocacy campaigns, and a commitment that no family is left in the dark.
The Why Behind It All
Because grief shouldn’t be a life sentence for the living. Because when a loved one is taken, it’s not only one family that is lost — it’s a community.
We want a society where children walk freely, where respect for life is restored, and where justice means hope for tomorrow.
We know the pain. We are the ones continuing to carry it. And we are determined that no family should carry it alone.
We Are Still Here
The banners may have come down from that first march, but the fight continues. The message remains the same. The need is still urgent.
If you’ve experienced loss and feel like your voice wasn’t heard — you are not alone. We are here. For you.
