On a recent episode of Good Morning Britain, Families Fighting for Justice founder Jean Taylor appeared live to speak about Chantel’s Law — a vital campaign calling for tougher sentencing for those who murder and then desecrate or conceal their victim’s body.
Jean passionately shared her own heartbreaking story and the ongoing fight for justice, speaking not just as a bereaved mother, but on behalf of countless families across the country who have suffered unimaginable loss. Her message was clear: no family should ever be denied the right to lay their loved one to rest.
Chantel’s Law aims to close a dangerous loophole in the justice system by introducing a mandatory minimum 40-year sentence for such crimes. Jean’s appearance helped bring national attention to the importance of this proposed reform and the pain many families still carry.
We thank ITV and Good Morning Britain for giving this campaign a national platform, and we remain grateful for the growing support from MPs, the public, and the press.
