Remembering June Hopley

Remembering June Hopley

Today, we pause to honour and remember June Hopley — a truly remarkable woman whose courage, kindness, and dedication to justice touched all who knew her.

June was more than a supporter of Families Fighting for Justice; she was family. Her strength in the face of profound loss — first through the tragic death of her beloved grandson Ryan, and later the heartbreaking loss of her daughter Susan — was nothing short of inspirational.

At every meeting, June brought not only her presence but her heart. She listened, she stood up, and she made a difference. Her compassion never wavered. Her belief in our Campaign for Justice never faltered. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of just how many lives she touched with her dignity and grace.

We are getting a plaque made for June which will be placed in our lounge on our Wall of Angels — a lasting tribute to her memory and the light she brought into so many lives.

To Alan, and to all of June’s family and friends, we send our deepest condolences. Please know that June will always hold a place in our hearts. Her memory lives on in every act of kindness, in every family we support, and in every step we take towards justice — together.

Rest peacefully, June. You will never be forgotten.
