Looking Back on 2025

Looking back at 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been a powerful and emotional year for Families Fighting for Justice.

This year, we continued to stand with families affected by homicide and violent crime, offering support, understanding, and a space to be heard. Every story shared, every hand held, every step forward, it all matters. We’ve seen heartbreak, yes, but we’ve also seen resilience, compassion, and real community.

Our Peer Support Wednesdays began to take shape, with families finding comfort in one another’s company and experiences. These sessions have reminded us that we are never truly alone, even in the darkest of times.

We’ve continued to push for justice and lasting change, from our tireless campaigning for Chantel’s Law to supporting voices that need to be heard at the highest levels. Being led by those who truly understand, families and victims themselves, remains our strength.

We also said goodbye to some incredible individuals who meant the world to our community. Their legacies will live on in our work and in the memories we carry forward together. We’ve honoured their lives, celebrated their strength, and promised to never stop fighting.

To our dedicated volunteers – thank you. Your time, care, and unwavering support continue to shape everything we do. Without you, none of this would be possible.

And to the families who’ve walked through our doors or picked up the phone: we see you. We hear you. We’re with you.

As we prepare for the new year, our mission remains the same, to offer full-circle support, to be a voice for justice, and to be a safe place for those who’ve experienced unimaginable pain. We carry every name, every memory, and every cause with us into 2026.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We’ll be here, always.

With love and strength,
Families Fighting for Justice.
