Have Your Say: Merseyside Violence Against Women and Girls Survey

Families Fighting for Justice is helping to raise awareness of a new Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) survey, launched with Merseyside Police to hear directly from women and girls about their experiences and how safe they feel across Merseyside.

The survey asks women and girls to share their experiences of safety where they live, work, study, travel and socialise.

A previous survey carried out in 2023 received more than 4,000 responses. The information shared helped to shape the #TakingAction campaign and wider work to tackle violence against women and girls.

Three years on, this new survey provides an opportunity to understand what may have changed, identify emerging concerns and ensure that the voices and experiences of women and girls continue to help inform future work.

At Families Fighting for Justice, we understand how important it is for people to have a voice and for their experiences to be heard. We therefore encourage women and girls across Merseyside to take part if they feel able to do so.

You can also help by sharing the survey with friends, family and within your own community so that it reaches as many people as possible.

The survey is open until 11th October 2026.

Please help us spread the word and give more women and girls across Merseyside the opportunity to have their voices heard.
